This may not be a prompt
for free-writing as it may be a commentary on the politics of this
country. But one could also think about how as individuals we may never
seem harmed by the hurt inflicted upon us by those around us, but then
there are things we do emotionally or spiritually that creates harm.
This is more of a reflective or psychological concept you can consider
for yourself or for someone you know, or maybe it could be applied
symbolically in a story or poem. Let it carry itself through your
writing for a few minutes.
