Wilde John

One quote and one song lyric.  Read them, choose one or let one choose you, and write about whatever comes to mind.  Maybe you don't respond to the song lyric or quote, but the mention of an old man makes you think of the old man you noticed yesterday in line at the grocery.  Or you recall something special about a pillow.  Or you can imagine a mistake that translates into experience.  Write.

"The old man kept talking bout his life and his times.
He fell asleep with his head against the window.
He said an honest man's pillow is his peace of mind."
- "Minutes to Memories" by John Mellencamp
"Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes."
- Oscar Wilde
