I saw these quotes on some blogs and liked them enough to share again:
"Laugh as much as you breathe, Love as long as you live."
- Elizabeth “Liz” Tran (February 26, 1990 – January 19, 2007)
"Love often goes by the wayside as rules and certainty move in."
- James C. Alexander, "The Shape of Absolutism" (link)
In
your writing, how is love expressed? In what ways do your characters
share and show love to each other? Is love a character in your poems, a
motivation for interactions or lack of interactions between people or
landscape? Are your characters misguided by their perceptions of what
love is or is not? Do they love?
I am looking out my bedroom
window as I type this, it is spring, and of course the squirrels are
chasing each other around the backyard full of last autumn's fallen
leaves and spring's first green grass. They're not mad, or in love, but
following instinct.
